The FTP Client extension enables secure FTP, FTPS, and SFTP file transfers directly from Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. It allows companies to integrate external systems, automate inbound and outbound data exchange, and manage file-based processes without additional middleware.

Users can configure multiple FTP profiles, test connections, upload and download files, and access remote directories — all from within Business Central. The extension supports standard authentication as well as SSH keys for SFTP. It is ideal for importing data feeds, sending export files, connecting to logistics platforms, exchanging EDI files, and any scenario where Business Central must interact with external file servers.
